I'm a dedicated IT professional with a background as a self-taught programmer. I learned programming when I was about 9 years old. When I was 14 or 15 years old, I learned C/C++. Along my journey, I picked up some other languages such as pascal, VB, Delphi (Visual Pascal), perl, ruby (not rails, ruby), PHP, Python.
Later on, I opted to go back to school and get my Network Administrators degree. After I obtained the right to call myself a network admin, I worked at a school board for 2 years as a Linux System Administrator, at that time, I made the switch to using Linux only on all of my machines. I never looked back. After that contract ended, I fell back into the programming field yet again, but I think I'm here for good now. I'm currently employed as a DevOps (part Network/System Administrator, part Developer).
