Unfortunately, I am not able to make the nvim-tree plugin working for me. I installed the nvim-web-devicons as recommended, google a lot but can't find a solution. Please find a screenshot and my init.lua attached. Any help is appreciated.

I believe you have to:

  • Install a Nerd Font in your system
  • If you are using a terminal application (e.g. Tilix) you may have to install the font in that application too
  • Configure Vim to use the font by changing the guifont option
3
  • Oh, that did the trick! I, however, had to set the font in the terminal application as I use nvim in Tilix.

  • Welcome to Vim! Thanks for the feedback. If the answer solve your problem don't forget to validate it using the green v button next to the arrow voting button. Feb 24 at 10:33
  • Sorry to insist but I try to get the questions closed :-) If the solurion solves your problem could you use the v button to make the solution accepted? ;-) Feb 26 at 5:07
