I am using Neovim 0.6.0 nightly (I also have the nvim-lspconfig and hrsh7th/nvim-cmp plugins installed) and have a few different LSP servers which do seem to be working (I have tested them by simply opening the relevant source code filetypes and making some changes and the linter picks up the change immediately), but I can't figure out a simple way to enable code completion using the LSP. If it helps give some context, I'm using the Python and Typescript LSP implementations (pyright and tsserver).

What is the minimal amount of config I can do in init.lua to make LSP completion work?

  • This is highly dependent on the LSP client you're using. Native? Plugin? Have you checked the docs for said client?
