I have set up Vim-Airline, but Vim-Airline-Tabline's tab seperator is showing vertically rather than as arrows.

My tabline:
strange tabline

Expected tabline:
expected tabline

init.vim relating to airline:

 let g:airline_powerline_fonts = 1
 let g:airline#extensions#coc#enabled = 1
 let g:airline#extensions#tabline#enabled = 1
 let g:airline_right_alt_sep = ''
 let g:airline_right_sep = ''
 let g:airline_left_alt_sep= ''
 let g:airline_left_sep = ''
 let g:airline#extensions#tabline#left_sep = ''
 let g:airline#extensions#tabline#left_alt_sep = ''
 let g:airline_theme='base16-default-dark'

  • try removing the let g:airline#extensions#tabline#left_sep and let g:airline#extensions#tabline#left_alt_sep separator sections – Christian Brabandt Mar 5 at 6:49
  • @ChristianBrabandt it did not work without those either. – CATboardBETA Mar 5 at 7:19
  • then please start with a minimal configuration – Christian Brabandt Mar 5 at 8:24
  • IIRC there used to be a need for powerline fonts to get that look – D. Ben Knoble Mar 5 at 13:31
  • CATboardBETA please edit to include a minimal vimrc, which I believe is what @ChristianBrabandt was trying to say. This might help: How to debug my vimrc – D. Ben Knoble Mar 5 at 13:56
