Let's say I want to use one file to set settings for xml, html, and plist files. So I have:

.vim/after/ftplugin/xml.vim
.vim/after/ftplugin/html.vim
.vim/after/ftplugin/plist.vim

But I want to join them all into one. Is there some way to achieve that?

  • You mean, load each of them for a particular filetype? – D. Ben Knoble Dec 28 '18 at 18:33
  • I mean, having one file "xml, html, plist.vim" for all three individual file types – hgiesel Dec 28 '18 at 19:37
  • But why? Are they all the same? If so, just source one from the other two. Or use :runtime – D. Ben Knoble Dec 28 '18 at 22:20

    ... or use symlinks. – Ralf Dec 28 '18 at 23:12
