Apr 13 at 19:24 comment added Vivian De Smedt If you add wincmd p the focus will move to the other window. If you hit <C-w>r or run :wincmd r you will swap the two windows.
Apr 13 at 19:15 comment added Anton Samokat After opening the diff how to put focus on buffer with clipboard, not to file (so that hotkey with closing the diff will close the buffer, not the current file)? Is it possible to swap right and left sides on the fly, i.e. when diff is already opened? Is it possible to compare current system clipboard buffer with selected by visual mode text in the file? I guess this must be possible - need to open second buffer with selected text, right?
Apr 13 at 19:14 comment added Anton Samokat The description is great. Comparing with system clipboard is working. Configuring placement of the sides too. Still I have some more clarification questions.

Apr 7 at 18:40 comment added Vivian De Smedt I have also enrich the solution to address the adaptation you would like to have to the solution. For the color schema of the diff that is another subject :-) There are special highlighting groups used by the diff (DiffAdd, DiffChange, DiffDelete, DiffText).

Mar 21, 2023 at 15:59 comment added Vivian De Smedt Could be but to make sure the number of the line :1put + and keep the silent 0d_ works better for me. On Windows the clipboard is either " or * with set unnamed. Why do you prefer + over "?
Mar 21, 2023 at 15:41 comment added Christian Brabandt should that be :0put +?
